Matar Paneer Recipe in hindi is a very tasty vegetable which is one of the main vegetables of North India.

It is prepared and eaten with great fervor in every household. Easy matar paneer recipe is a quick recipe and everyone’s favorite.Let’s make this recipe (Matar Paneer Restaurant Style).

Ingredients of Matar paneer (Dry matar paneer recipe Ingredients )

  • Greenpeas – 1 cup fresh or frozen
  • Paneer– 100 grams
  • Onion– 1 finely chopped
  • Tomato– 2 finely chopped or puree
  • Greenchili – 1 finely chopped
  • Lentils(optional)
  • Ginger– half inch finely chopped
  • Oil – for tempering
  • greencoriander leaves


Red chili powder – 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt– As per taste Dry

Method (How to make matar paneer or matar paneer recipe without cream)

If you are using fresh green peas, boil them in salted hot water for 8 to 10 minutes so that the vegetable becomes instant and if you are using frozenpeas , you can use them in the same way.

Make puree oftomato
in mixer , similarlygive puree form toginger, green chillies andonion (garlic is optional)

Take 2 spoons of oil in a pan. As soon as the oil is hot, put cumin seeds in it,
then cumin seeds start to crackle, then add onion, green chili and ginger paste,
when everything is fried well, in about 5 minutes, then add tomato puree to it and
cook it until the oil starts separating, approx. 5 minutes

Add turmeric powder, salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, dried mango powder, garam masala and mix well.

After 3 to 4 minutes,add boiled peas and half a big cupof water, cook it on low flame for 5 minutes,
now add paneer pieces and cook it for 3 to 4 minutes by covering the frying pan so that it cooks quickly with steam.

Turn off the gas after the fixed time, delicious Matar Paneer is ready. You can also eat it with puri, paratha or kulcha.
